Investing in stocks carries substantial risk of capital loss. You may lose part or all of your investment. Do not invest money you cannot afford to lose. Vectorial Data provides educational content — it is not a substitute for personalized financial advice.
1. General market risks
Stock markets are volatile. Prices can rise or fall sharply due to macroeconomic factors, central bank policy, geopolitical events, pandemics, liquidity crises, and many other factors outside any single issuer's control. Solid diversification reduces but does NOT eliminate this risk.
2. Issuer-specific risk
An individual company can suffer fraud, mismanagement, technological disruption, loss of key contracts, litigation, adverse regulation, or bankruptcy. These events can make a stock lose most or all of its value even when the broader market is stable.
3. Currency risk
Our portfolio includes stocks from multiple regions denominated in their local currency. We report returns in USD. FX moves can amplify or reduce the USD return of a foreign position independently of its performance in the local currency.
4. Liquidity risk
Some stocks we cover are less liquid than mega-cap names. In periods of market stress, order execution can be slower and spreads wider than usual, leading to significant slippage from the quoted price.
5. Model-specific risks
Our return calculation assumes $50 per position in fractional shares at closing price, with no taxes, fees, or slippage. Your actual result may differ significantly. Additionally, we operate under the Publisher's Exclusion — we are NOT registered advisers and we do not offer personalized advice.
6. Concentration risk
While the portfolio diversifies at the ticker level, it may be concentrated at the sector, region, or risk-factor level (e.g. interest rate sensitivity). Losses in stress periods can be larger than those of a broad index.
7. Past performance ≠ future performance
Any return we show is historical and guarantees no future result. Avoid extrapolating recent returns forward. Markets change.
8. Taxes
Returns shown are GROSS. In practice, dividends and capital gains are subject to withholding and taxes that vary by jurisdiction. Consult an accountant for your personal situation.
